Hi! I’m Danielle Alexander, a writer based in Oregon. My work has appeared in This House of Mine, The Bandit Zine, and the Aquinas College Sampler, where my poem Mother received an American Academy of Poet’s Honorable Mention. I used to own and operate a little book and zine shop called Bombadil Books in Grand Rapids, MI.
I’m a big fan of self-publishing and making artists books. Notable self-publications include two poetry chapbooks: Sunlight Gets Through (2016) and Chasing Rabbits (2016); two collaborative artist’s books, We Sit Together, At the Table (2015) and White Walls: Entelechia (2015); and Ten Lists: A Workbook for Anxiety (2017). You can purchase the latter here.
I have a BFA in English and Creative Writing from Aquinas College and currently work in political communications. I live in North Portland with my talented partner Jeff Hammond, our son, Ori, and an unruly brood of rescue pets.
